Etienne Suzzoni, Clos Culombu 2022

Flag of France

Established in 1973 by Etienne Suzzoni, who recently passed the reigns to his son, Paul-Antoine, Clos Columbu has been making authentic Corsican wines for over 40 years. The 60-hectare vineyard is part of a larger 154-hectare property which faces south towards the Gulf of Calvi and Monte Grosso. The area is known locally as the Garden of Corsica and is home to the Vin de Corse-Calvi appellation, one of the finest on the island. Clos Culombu 2022 is made from a blend of 60% Sciaccarellu, 20% Niellucciu (Sangiovese), 10% Minustellu (Graciano) and 10% Syrah. Bursting with juicy notes of black cherry, plum, strawberry and white pepper, the palate is equally fruity with balanced acidity, soft tannins and a softly floral finish. A great wine to pair with game.
